How To Get Ready for BSAFE – Vendors

6 step guide for Vendors on how to get ready for BSAFE.

BGIS Vendor Code of Conduct

Finding WO, signing into site, doing PRA, client specific safety assessment (WPCG)

In this example, the technician is using the BSAFE App on a client device. They find their Work Order, sign into site, views essential site information (ESI) and then they tap Start Job. A Pre-start Risk Assessment is then done, to determine if the work being done requires a client specific safety assessment (WPCG form). The technician in this example does not require a Permit or a minimum control checklist, so they log out of App once WPCG form is signed off by Site Manager.

Delivering Planned Maintenance using the BSAFE App

Sometimes, BSAFE will group like-with-like individual WOs, based on location (building or site), asset type (air compressor, RCDs, etc.) and maintenance task + frequency. These groups of WOs are called Virtual Work Orders in BSAFE. This allows the technician coming to site to sign in and do the safety assurance steps once (Pre-Start Risk Assessment or client-specific forms such as WPCG), unless specific risks are identified by individual tasks carried out.
